Vergil Boss Guide
Vergil's Attack Pattern
Vergil will use Devil Trigger each time his HP is reduced by a third. He will additionally summon an illusion of himself at 10% HP. Vergil attacks much more quickly when in his Devil Trigger form.
Summoned Swords

Speeding
| Tell | Approaches before attacking. |

| Tell | A blue light glows around Vergil's head. |

Judgement Cut
| Tell | Cracks in the ground run from Vergil to the target. |

Dimensional Slash
| Tell | A large sphere forms around Vergil. |

Devil Trigger Vergil Attack Pattern
Cutting Up
| Tell | Vergil cuts into the sky. |

| Effect | Slashes down with his sword before vanishing. |

Rush
| Tell | Vergil flies around the area. |

Vergil Boss Strategy
Counter the boss' attacks when you get the chance
Vergil has a high defense that won't allow you to do a lot of damage. Try to inflict a bit of damage during the gaps between his attacks.
Use Devil Trigger when Vergil is helpless
Vergil will become stunned after taking some hits. You can use this time to deal large amounts of damage to him. You can activate Devil Trigger to transform and perform rush attacks.
Press R2 to activate Buster and deal heavy damage. It would be a waste to use it immediately, so wait until the last minute to activate Buster.
Defeat the illusion when it comes out
When Vergil's HP falls below half, he will activate Devil Trigger and create an illusion of himself. It is easy not to be tricked by the illusion since it will be a light blue color. That said, you'll need to defeat it first.
