Nero
The Young Devil Hunter
Voice Actor: Johnny Yong Bosch
A young man who exterminates demons with the group known as Devil May Cry. Nero previously belonged to an organization known as the Order of the Sword that worshiped the dark knight Sparda. Nero is known for having possessed a demonic right arm known as Devil Bringer, though it was severed during the events of Devil May Cry 4. The limb has since been replaced by Nico with a prosthetic one that doubles as a weapon in combat known as Devil Breaker.

The Legendary Devil Hunter
Voice Actor: Reuben Langdon
Dante is the strongest known Devil Hunter in existence and is the founder and leader of Devil May Cry. Born from a human mother and the legendary dark knight Sparda, Dante has vanquished and repelled numerous demonic forces throughout the series. Dante’s devil blood grants him abilities far beyond that of humans and uses a variety of weapons known as Devil Arms in battle. His power is further amplified by his use of the Devil Trigger, an ability which unleashes his demonic abilities and reveals his true form.

The Mysterious One
Voice Actor: Lukas Il
An enigmatic young man who is covered in black tattoos, V introduces himself to Dante and asks him to help investigate the sudden appearances of demons across the world. In combat, V summons three types of demons and various familiars to attack his foes. He wields a cane and a strange book in his appearances.

The Artisan of Arms
Voice Actor: Emily Bador
Nico is the granddaughter of a famous weapons maker known as “the Gunsmith” and creates a variety of Devil Breakers for Nero. She runs a small workshop in her van where Nero can buy and equip weapons, as well as upgrade various abilities used in battle.

The Fiendish Femme Fatale

A demon created in the image Dante’s mother Eva, Trish was formerly an adversary of the bounty hunter in the previous games but had turned on her old alliance to help Dante. Although there were hints of romance between Trish and Dante in the past, their relationship in Devil May Cry 5 is implied to be only a friendly one.

Armed Hunter for Hire
Voice Actor: Kate Higgins
Lady is a demon hunter that Dante met during the incident of the demon tower Temen-ni-gru. She sought to kill her father Arkham as revenge for killing her mother. Lady had clashed with Dante in the past, previously believing that demons are not capable of understanding the idea of “family.” She later grows to understand Dante and allies herself with him in the newly created Devil May Cry agency.
